The Dallas Cowboys were deadlocked against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, but came away with a 34-10 victory.

Washington had the makings of a successful win, but the chances disappeared thanks to broken special teams coverage and two missed extra point attempts. Led by quarterback Cooper Rush, the Cowboys outgained the Commanders 176 yards to 113 in the first half. Both teams had 19 first downs, but Washington was more efficient on third down, 4-12 to Dallas' 2-11. Rush was efficient, completing 24 of 32 pass attempts for 247 total yards. Star Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels was 25-for-38 for 275 yards but had two interceptions. Washington had better luck on the ground, racking up 145 yards on 25 carries and leaning on the run game on its only scoring drive of the first half. Dallas' 28 rush attempts yielded just 91 yards. Last week, the Cowboys (3-7) were no match for their home foe. The Texans offense had 21 first downs, five scoring drives and one defensive touchdown. Quarterback CJ Stroud finished the night 23-for-34 with 257 yards.
The Cowboys scored 10 points despite having 381 yards of offense. Rush threw for 354 yards on 32 of 55 passing.
